La Pucelle, also known as Den lilla havsfröken, is a sculpture by Liss Eriksson situated on Lidingö. The French name 'La Pucelle' translates to 'the virgin', and the sculpture was placed in 1950 along the southern Lidingo's promenade. La Pucelle sits on a rock and gazes out towards Lilla Värtan. The sculpture shares resemblances with the Danish sculptor Edvard Eriksen's masterpiece, The Little Mermaid, which earned La Pucelle its second name, 'Den lilla havsfröken'. The sitting woman on Lidingö has some similarities with Eriksson's skulptures Élaine and Oskuld. The placement of La Pucelle is similar to the placement of Den lille havfrue in Copenhagen.
