Originally designed in 1785 for the Natural History Cabinet, the building that houses the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid was repurposed to showcase the Royal Museum of Paintings and Sculptures in 1819. Encouraged by his wife, Queen María Isabel de Braganza, King Ferdinand VII decided to use this space. Today, the museum is known for housing masterpieces from artists like Francisco Goya, Velázquez, and El Greco. However, it's not just an art museum - it's also a frequent filming location, appearing in Woody Allen's 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' and 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife'.
