The Pine Forest was planted at the end of the 19th century to prevent the sand on the island from spreading. Today, one can enjoy a well-grown forest but a mat of blueberry bushes and many pleasant trails. When Nora's sons play in the Pine Forest, they find the body of a missing girl.
