The cottage Blackeberg: Ljunglöfska Slottet

Knut Ljunglöf, commonly known as the 'snus king', constructed Ljunglöfska Slottet on his estates in Blackeberg, Bromma, within Stockholms kommun. The mansion, located at Ljunglöfsvägen 1, was designed by architect Gustaf Lindgren and built between 1890 and 1893. In 1891, the cottage Blackeberg, which once stood on the estate, was demolished by Knut Ljunglöf. Decades later, in 1925, the Freemasons order acquired the property, transforming it into a children’s home called Frimurarebarnhuset from 1930 to 1939. This children’s home was designed by architect Hakon Ahlberg.
