Stuncarn Sa Millán de la Cogolla: A Blend of Gothic and Romanesque Architecture

The placid village of Los Balbases, in northern Spain, is the home of Stuncarn Sa Millán de la Cogolla, a church dedicated to St. Millán de la Cogolla. Sensing the need for a larger sanctuary, the villagers constructed the current structure in the 13th century. The church exhibits a combination of Gothic and later Romanesque architectural elements. Its main portal features intricate 13th-century carvings. Besides two portals, it also follows a Saloon-style layout, integrating with an earlier structure.
