The Giant of Lakihegy: Hungary's 314-Meter Tower

Poking the Hungarian sky since 1933, the Lakihegy Tower of Szigetszentmiklos-Lakihegy stands tall at 314 meters. It's been through World War II and managed to shake off the dust and reappear in 1946.

Once a broadcasting antenna for Budapest I with a 120 kW transmitter, this relic now sits rusty, a proud reminder of its past. Tourists, especially history buffs, gawk at it as a monument.
