Forte Doss Fornas, a Trentino-style fortification hailing from the distant 1878-80, stands as one of the final holdouts of this antiquated style. Constructed with local stones and boasting an observation turret, it was equipped with no less than 8 15cm M78 guns - a clear indication of the times' shifting nature. However, a mere 19 years later, in 1915, this structure was considered outdated and disarmed. Today, it continues in private hands, denied to the public.
