The Big Reflective Cylinder: A Chill Encounter with Argo at MAM

Catch the 'gram with a 1974-vibin' mirror-like cylinder, kindly lent by none other than Mrs. Bradley. Hang out with Argo, a sculpture by Alexander Liberman, outside the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Just south of the Milwaukee Art Museum, you'll find a pretty cool sculpture – a 31-footer, 15-footer tall, cylinder of steel, bedecked in a glossy white reflective cover. That's Argo, an Alexander Liberman brainchild from 1974. Founded in Newport, Rhode Island, as part of an enormous outdoor contemporary art exhibition called 'Monumenta', Argo found a comfy spot at the MAM, courtesy of Mrs. Lynde Bradley. Argo big enough to be humble and the museum design make it a striking complement to its exterior. Snap a selfie with this steel cylinder – it's a hot ticket at the MAM collection.
