The Glastonbury-Rocky Hill Ferry Historic District is older than your granny's aging Labrador, spanning 300 years of madness. Whole centuries before the English, Native Americans stirred the pot. From the 1640s, those English chaps flattened everything like a pancake. Huddled together like squabbling siblings, Rocky Hill and Glastonbury have shared the same Wethersfield neighborhood since the 17th century. The Glastonbury Ferry, troublemaker since 1655, has kept the blood pumping between these bickering towns. Officially acknowledged in 2005, the historic district continues to shout the river's ancient legacy to the wind.
