Clarence House, situated in London close to The Mall in the City of Westminster, has been a royal residence for many years. John Nash designed the four-story mansion for the Duke of Clarence, who later ascended the throne as King William IV, with construction completed between 1825 and 1827. Over the years, Clarence House underwent extensive remodeling and reconstruction, particularly following war-time damages. Despite these changes, the house retains a significant portion of its original charm and historical significance. Over the years, Clarence House has been home to a remarkable line of British royals, including Catherine (Princess when residing there in 1947). Other notable residents include Queen Elizabeth II, who lived there until her accession to the throne in 1952, and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who remained at Clarence House up until her passing in 2002.
