Casa de Miranda

Casa de Miranda is a palatial structure in the city of Burgos, Spain, constructed in 1545 to serve as the residence of Francisco de Miranda Salón y España. The property has three floors, with the first floor made of stone and the upper floors primarily of brick. The main facade features a monumental portico with double columns, and there are three heraldic coats of arms on the building, two of which display the arms of the Miranda Salón family. The building was declared a monumental national site on October 17, 1914, and in the 1940s work began to convert it into the Museum of Burgos. Today, Casa de Miranda has the status of a property of cultural interest, and recently, the Casa Melgosa and the Calatravas cinemas were acquired to expand the museum.
