Barry Flanagan's Scallywag Sculpt - The Buenos Aires Ponderer

Swing by Buenos Aires, mate, and you'll see Barry Flanagan's Hoodlum of Station Neighbourhood, the fresh flavor that's gotta be on your South American art bucket list.

In 1997, a crafty Welsh chap named Barry Flanagan cooked up a bronze sculpture, reminiscent of a canny hound dog, deep in thought, resting on a rock. The locals slapped it with the catchy moniker 'Ponderous Hound Dog', but we prefer a quicker nickname, so we call it 'Rascal'. Old Flanagan produced eight of these rascal copies, but only Buenos Aires in South America snagged one. After a South American adventure in 2010, the sculpture charmed its way into Argentina, with a promise from Flanagan that it'd stick around. Since it strolled into town, Rascal's been the talk of the Station Neighborhood, sparking debates about its placement, artistic value, and its impact on the local community.
