British Modernist Barbara Hepworth carved this sculpture, Figure for the Landscape, back in 1960. A total of seven copies were created, with a fourth finding itself in the United Kingdom. You'll find two at the Barbara Hepworth Museum in Tate St Ives, one in the University of Exeter, and one in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Other casts can be found at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C, the J. Paul Getty Museum, and the San Diego Museum of Art. There's even one in Stavanger Kunstforening, Norway, a place Hepworth herself acquired it in 1965 for a lower cost to make sure her work found a home in the Scandinavian country. In 2014, Christie's auctioned this piece off for 4,178,954 English Pounds to none other than London-based art aficionado, Stephen Ongpin.
