Pauškių piliakalnis, situated within the Rietavo district near Pauškės village, is a slotted type hillfort in Pilalė. The hillfort was constructed during the Paleolithic period and is characterized by a quadrilateral shape, with walls that are thicker at the back than at the front. Each natural depression on the front of the hillfort is about 10-11 meters wide, and the front is approximately 1-3 meters high. The excavation of the hillfort, carried out by the Lithuanian Institute of History in 1964, discovered evidence of continuously inhabited sites dating to the 2nd millennium BC.
