Standing 15 feet tall, a towering equestrian statue of Don Quixote gifted from Spain for the US Bicentennial in DC.

Built in 1976 by Aurelio Teno, the Don Quixote statue is a gift from Spain for the United States Bicentennial. Only the front portion of Don Quixote and his horse, Rocinante, are visible, with Rocinante appearing to be charging forward. The statue is placed upon an oval base, sporting an inscription that reads: SCULPTOR / A. TENO / MADRID / ESPAÑA – 1976.
