Initially established in 1882, the Centre Martorell d'Exposicions, formerly the Museu Martorell, is a natural history museum situated in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. The museum was a unique geology specialization for over a century, cultivated through the bequest of a local businessman, Francesc Martorell Peña. However, with time, its collection expanded beyond geology, transforming it into a comprehensive natural history museum. In 2010, the museum temporarily closed its doors, only to undergo a meticulous renovation, finally reopening in 2023. The revamped museum now presents temporary and permanent exhibits rooted in various natural sciences, inviting visitors to explore and discover the wonders of our world.
