Jordberga Castle, a manor house in Trelleborg Municipality in the Scania region of southern Sweden, dates to the 1400s. It has withstood the whispers of time, its structure a testament to resilience. Its first known owner, Governor Eric von Nolcken, bought the castle in 1811. His son, Carl Adam von Nolcken, had the main house built in Gothic style under the guidance of Swedish architect Carl Georg Brunius. In 1908, Carl Gustaf Stjernswärd, the estate's owner, commissioned Danish architect Henri Carl August Glæsel to redesign the main house in an Art Nouveau baroque style. Even through its redesign and the changing of hands, Jordberga Castle continues to stand tall in the heart of Skåne, a beacon of history moving into the future.
