Vermicellerie's Mill Room

Perched over the Tarn river in the Madeleine quarter, the Vermicellerie, also known as the Albi Mills, is an ancient pasta factory that may have its origins traced back to the 12th century as a mill for grain. The site was refined over time, and by the 18th century, it had been transformed into a pasta factory. The factory was decommissioned in the mid-20th century but was later renovated to house a hotel, the Musée Lapérouse, and the Tourism Committee. The Vermicellerie is listed as a historic monument on October 11, 1984. Today, nestled in the basement of the Mercure hotel, the old mill room invites you on an unusual stroll.
