Le'me tell ya, this Swedish pothole was the big brass for Europe's copper game from the 17th to the 19th cen. Falun was the main miner's pick, as ya can guess. Winters were kind to this copper mine, leavin' a rusty whiff 'round the houses and bushes nearby. They even named a local paint, Falu Rödfärg, after this 'red-wash'. It seemed the investors' savings were plump as the king's piggy bank, and the mine showed no signs of closin' anytime soon. We've got it all on paper, but I reckon tourism boards must've missed the charm in it. It's a yarn worth tellin', ain't it?
