Jim Hogg, the Bronze Lummox, Austin's Inept Dance Partner

Jim Hogg, the Bronze Lummox, Austin's Inept Dance Partner

Kicked out in 2017 and re-invited in 2018, Jim Hogg now tangoes beside the Main Building and the Will C. Hogg Building on the University of Texas at Austin's campus, Austin, Texas, USA.

Jim Hogg, an outdoor sculpture made by Pompeo Coppini, was originally a part of the South Mall in 1919. Then, in an unexpected twist, fate stretched its arm and pushed him out of his spot in 2017. However, in a move as unexpected as his initial arrival, he was re-invited in 2018 to share the dance floor with the Main Building and the Will C. Hogg Building on the University of Texas at Austin's campus, Austin, Texas, United States. The sculpture, known as James Stephen Hogg, is a piece of the Littlefield Fountain project.
