The ruins of the 10th- or 11th-century chapel of the castle in Puigbò, Gombrèn

The Església del castell de Sant Martí de Puigbò, located on a hill above the left bank of the riera de Puigbó, is included in the Inventari del Patrimoni Arquitectònic de Catalunya. The exact date of its construction is unclear, but it is believed to have been built in the 10th or 11th century and was originally the chapel of the castle at Puigbò. The absis of the church is still intact and indicates that it was once a significant structure. Over time, however, it fell into ruin. The original castle and church structure fell into abandon due to neglect in the 18th century, and the old church was completely abandoned, leading to its total ruin.
