The Palazzo Bartolomeo Lomellini, located in Largo Zecca 4 in the heart of Genoa, was built between 1565 and 1570 by Bartolomeo Lomellino. His family owned the palace until 1757, and today it houses the Vittorio Emanuele II-Ruffini State Educational Institute. It was one of the 42 palaces of the Rolli selected as World Heritage by UNESCO in 2006. The palace has been under the protection of the Soprintendenza since 2008. Its original volume appears to conform to the Vallechiara valley.
