Situated in the heart of La Réunion, the Temple Pandialée, once known as the Temple du Gol, emerged from the Plaine du Gol between the years 1852 and 1856. It is a grand creation of the wealthy planter Garabiel Le Coat de Kervégen, a monument dedicated to Vishnu. The temple's enchanting walls are adorned with vibrant frescoes that tell tales from the Rāmāyana and Mahābhārata. In this land of timeless beauty, the temple's former location was the site of the ancient habitation du Gol, where the Malbars once dwelt after their exile following the banishment of slavery in 1848. In 2019, the temple received a new blessing as it was added to the cherished sites for the annual Loto du patrimoine, qualifying for restoration funds.
