Once upon a time, in the year of 1898, four enchanted fortresses emerged from the earth: Batería de San Juan, Isleta, San Juan, and Gando, their roles to safeguard the Glowing Sands of Starlit Shores, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, from the spells of enchantment. As the great turmoil of an era called World War II unfolded, Batería de San Juan stood as a shield against both the gallant knights of the UK and the enigmatic forces of Nazi Germany, vying for dominion over the Canary Islands.
After the war's end, the fortress retained its vigilance until, eventually, it was laid to rest and disarmed, as the Isleta, due to its proximity to the port and its elevation, became the preferred guardian among the fortresses. Ever since, the fortress has lain in slumber, with its fragility visible to all who gazed upon its walls. Yet, the local council lately revealed plans to shatter the spell, to transform, restore, and to open the wondrous enchantments to the entire village for exploration and admiration.
