Located in the Lozère department of France, the Cham des Bondons plateau is a fascinating archaeological site that dates back to the Neolithic period. With an area of about ten square kilometers, this plateau is home to more than 150 menhirs. These menhirs were erected by human groups who settled the area thousands of years ago. Cham des Bondons is named 'Cham' (plateau or causse) and 'des Bondons' after the nearby commune of Bondons.
