Welcome to the Imbrie Farm, Oregon, a place you wouldn't anticipate finding in the Beaver State. Tucked away on Cornelius Pass Road, it stands as a Berver State relic, housing an eccentric mix of the boisterous present and the tranquil past. Established in the 1860s by a Scottish chap named Robert Imbrie, the farm sports an Italian Villa-style manor that, at one time, operated as a working farm. For over a century, it played host to neighbors and the Imbrie family, featuring livestock and crops.
After serving as a restaurant, it is now a brewpub, managed by Portland-based McMenamins. Sprawling over 3 acres, the property includes the original home, an eight-sided barn, and a granary that predates the main house. But the jokes keep rolling. So when you're passing through Hillsboro, don't delay, the Imbrie Farm is the spot to be – where the suds stream, but time is stuck in a never-ending embrace.
