Situated on that quiet ol' hill in Waverly, Franklin County, New York, you'll find the grand old Azure Mountain Fire Observation Station. Era 1918 saw this 40-foot skyscraper-like marvel crafted by the geniuses at Aermotor Corporation. Inside, you'd stumble upon a towering watchtower, two cosy dwellings dwelled in by past eye-watchers, and a jeep trail for those who fancy gallivanting across rough ground. The station gained massive respect in 2001, snagging itself a well-deserved spot on the National Register of Historic Places
