Born in 1761: John Rogers House – A Century-Old Stubborn Survivor

John Rogers House, older than many grandfathers, has survived two centuries in West Windsor Township, New Jersey. Abandoned, roofless, and on the edge, it's like a mule refusing to give up.

In 1761, John Rogers House set up shop in West Windsor Township, New Jersey. Century later, it's still standing – a mule, resisting time and weather. In 1970, Mercer County took control, but the house didn’t receive the care it required. Tarps were improvised to shield it from the elements. From 2017 to 2019, the roof vanished, yet the walls held firm, whisper the rumors. Even though it's on Preservation New Jersey's list of endangered historic sites, the fate remains unclear. Will it crumble under nature's unyielding assault or find another fight to join?
