By the 1830s-1840s, metal gazebos became fashionable in Russia. For example, in the "Alexandria" park stands an ornate gazebo called the "Gothic Well," located near the chapel, which was also built in the "Gothic style." This cast-iron gazebo is called the "Gothic Well." It was created in 1835 based on drawings by the famous Russian artist and architect Charlemagne and cast at the Berd factory. The architects here turned to Gothic architecture, with its decorative ornamentation and tall spires, resulting in a gazebo that is light and airy.
The Gothic Well, set against the backdrop of the Gothic Chapel, forms a distinctive "Gothic" architectural ensemble.
