Steel Titan in the Emerald City

Steel Titan in the Emerald City

In 2005, American artist Michael Davis carved out a 24ft-tall, 14ft-wide Steel Colossus in Seattle's SODO, Washington. A nod to Seattle's past industrial days.

The towering Steel Colossus, dubbed 'Made in USA', stands 24 feet high and 14 feet wide over Seattle's SODO area. Its steel archways are embellished with goliath tools - a try square, level, and carpenter pencil. The plaza's seating arrangements are fashioned after I-beams and a cog, adorned with cast bronze replicas of workbench tools on each bench top. This Steel Colossus is a tribute to Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, honoring its industrial heritage.
