Today, the Convent de Santa Teresa in Palma de Mallorca, located between the Rambla and carrer dels Horts, stands as a historical landmark. Founded by Leonor Ortiz in 1616, the convent carries the name of Santa Teresa de Jesús, the founder of the Discalced Carmelites order. Built as a monastery, the main altar, dated back to the 1700s, was made by Mateu Joan. The church holds a cross-shaped plan with a quadrangular presbiteri, crowned by a dome with eight segments and a lantern. The balconies feature quadrangular windows with grilles. The facade is divided by a small courtyard and two hexagonal towers. The portal is crowned by Santa Teresa and displays geometric decoration. The convent also houses a rectangular cloister with arcs rebossats and a sala capitular crowned with a Latin cross vault.
