Nestled in the heart of Marsillargues, Hérault, Occitanie, stands The Château, a relic of the medieval era. Its grandeur was bestowed upon it by the hand of Guillaume Nogaret, a favor received for his unwavering service in the King's court. However, this favor did not come without a cost. The testimonies of the oppressed - those who were forced to labor on the château's foundations - can still be heard, figuratively, within the stone walls that have weathered the centuries. In return for their labor, the locals were granted land. So, in a sense, the cries of the past linger, etched within the very bricks that make up the Château de Marsillargues.
