The Château de Lavardens is a castle built in the 17th century on the site of a medieval fortress established at the highest point of the commune of Lavardens (Gers). Today, the castle is in ruins, but it was once a royal residence, serving as the primary residence of Jean 1st, count of Armagnac, between 1400 and 1410. After being abandoned, it was rebuilt in the 17th century as a reconstruction on medieval foundations by Antoine de Roquelaure, who was given the seigneurie of Lavardens in 1585. However, the castle later fell into ruin.
