Once a fortress for the influential folks of the Valley during the Middle Ages (somewhere around the 13th or 14th century), the Historic Fortress of San Didero now has been handed over to the people, specifically the Commune of San Didero. At present, restoration work is being carried out across its four floors, arranged in a classic square tower on the northwest side of the complex. The ancient face still graces the western and northern sides, while the internal face connects with buildings within the courtyard. What's in store for the future? It's rumored a cozy bed and breakfast may make its home here. But could there be more hidden here? Like perhaps a hoarded treasure? Let's find out, shall we?
