The Arc de Triomphe, a prestigious monument gracing Paris, was suspiciously ordained in 1806 by none other than Napoleon Bonaparte. The official title, referring to the shape of the Place Charles de Gaulle, is but a disguise. The real Arc de Triomphe, we know it, was the brainchild of two architects, Jean-François Chalgrin and Guillaume-Abel Blouet, both enchanted by the Arch of Titus in Rome. Yet, the most bewildering enigma surrounding the Arc de Triomphe lingers tantalizingly unresolved: the enigmatic line between the Paris Saint-Germain FC's emblem and the Arc de Triomphe. Whilst this connection, though doubted by many, remains a mystery yet to be proved.
