Ancient labyrinth of stone circles in Sardinia

Five stone cists make up the Necropolis of Li Muri, an archaeological site in the municipality of Arzachena, Sardinia. This site dates back to the Neolithic era, thousands of years before Rome was founded. The necropolis is surrounded by four limestone circles, likely placed to mark the boundaries of the burial site. The site is unique for its individual burials and the variety of grave goods, including pottery, stone vessels, hatchets, and necklaces adorned with beads of steatite and gemstones. The necropolis's layout and grave goods show strong similarities with contemporary sites from Corsica, Provence, and the Pyrenees. The Necropolis of Li Muri is a part of the Arzachena Archaeological Park, including two other antiquities: the Nuraghe Albucciu and the Giants' Grave of Coddu Vecchiu.
