Explore the extensive art collection at the Norton Museum of Art in Florida.

The Norton Museum of Art, located at 1451 Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach, was founded in 1941 by Ralph Hubbard Norton and his first wife, Elizabeth Calhoun Norton. The museum is housed in a late Art Deco/Neoclassical building designed by Marion Sims Wyeth. Its mission is to preserve for the future the beautiful things of the past.

In 2001, the museum underwent a significant expansion with the construction of the 45,000-square-foot Gail and Melvin Nessel Wing, increasing the total size of the museum to 122,500 square feet (11,380 m2). The facility continues to grow, having broken ground in 2016 on a master plan that includes a new West Wing with a 43-foot-high Great Hall and a 9,000-square-foot sculpture garden.

The museum houses over 8,200 works, featuring a concentration of European, American, and Chinese art, as well as contemporary art and photography. The ground-level galleries showcase 20th-century American and European art alongside a comprehensive collection of Chinese works. On the top floor, visitors can find noteworthy paintings by masters such as Peter Paul Rubens and Anthony van Dyck, as well as examples of Chinese export porcelain.
