The Scholars Corner Apartments found their beginnings in 1929, located at 5100 South Cornell Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. The building was designed by Warner M. Pearson and Beachview Building Corp in the Art Deco style.
The building was formerly known as the Chicago Beach Apartments. Due to landfilling and other reconfiguration of the lakefront, the building is not as close to a beach as it once was.
On May 14, 1986, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It currently operates as Scholars Corner Apartments.
