Once a movie theatre and later a cultural centre, CaixaForum Lleida is a striking structure in the city's skyline. The building, now one of the tallest in Lleida, was designed by the architect Francesc de Palau Morera Gatell and originally opened as Cine Vinyes in 1928, honouring the musician Ricard Viñes. The property was acquired by La Caixa in 1985. Facilities include exposition areas, an auditorium with 235 seats, and two additional halls with 50 seats each. Contemporary artwork is showcased in the foyer. CaixaForum Lleida is managed by Fundación ‘La Caixa’ and is among the tallest buildings in the city.
