La storia della Terra is a sculpture at Marievik and Liljeholmskajen in Stockholm, created by the German artists Anna-Maria Kubach-Wilmsen and Wolfgang Kubach. It was constructed in 2001. The sculpture consists of a bookshelf with five books in various stones from five continents. The freestanding book is made of light blue stone from Brazil. The top book in the bookshelf is a book in light grey stone from India. The second book from the top is a book in yellow stone from Vietnam. The third book from the top is a book in black stone from Africa. The fourth book from the top is a red book in Bohemian granite from Sweden. The fifth book from the top is a book in grey stone from Australia. The entire sculpture weighs twelve tons. Variants of the sculpture in smaller scale exist outside Trump Tower in New York, USA, and outside Bibliothèque municipale in Lyon, France.
