In the park on Kamenny Island, Viktor Tsoi worked as a woodcarver. Before that, he did his summer internship in Pushkin — repairing monarchical ceilings. He had to quit this job because the musician’s hands were corroded by lime paint, and Viktor felt unwell due to the dust. He decided to find a calmer job and became a carver of park sculptures. Tsoi created several carved wooden sculptures in the park, such as a bear with a balalaika and a lion. But in 2012, they disappeared. Most likely, someone took them.

Viktor’s wife, Maryana, worked as a costume designer in the circus, finishing earlier and bringing him food. They walked together in the park, and of course, Viktor wrote songs that later became part of his first tape album. If it was hot, they would go swimming in the river-ditch. Tsoi wrote a song about this: “Then we’ll go swimming in the dirty river, just don’t close your eyes.”

Having finished eight grades, and since Viktor was good at drawing and had a talent for other arts, he enrolled in the "Serov School." At the school, he discovered his talent as a musician and became a member of the band "Ward No. 6." Tsoi never graduated from the school — he was expelled in his second year for poor academic performance. Witnesses claim that his passion for music was partly to blame. The "Elvish" or "Elf" garden got its name from the nearby café "Elf." In the 1980s, the café and the square were meeting places for creative people — representatives of the Leningrad underground. Artists, poets, rock musicians, philosophers, and simply hippies gathered in the square. Among them were Viktor Tsoi, Boris Grebenshchikov, and Alexander Bashlachev.

Like some "especially advanced" young men from the 80s, Viktor Tsoi decided to "dodge" the army. In 1983, he was admitted to this well-known city clinic for a month and a half. The doctors treated the young man without proper respect. The musician had to experience firsthand all the joys of Soviet psychiatric medicine.

"KAMCHATKA" of Tsoi in St. Petersburg, located at 15 Blokhina Street, is a place that still annually welcomes thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. It is a cult site for fans of Leningrad rock and roll. It was within these walls that many songs by the musical groups "Kino," "Aquarium," and "Alisa" were born. Now, a club-museum dedicated to Viktor Tsoi operates here.

Viktor Tsoi was a native of Saint Petersburg, and it was decided to bury him in his hometown as well — in Saint Petersburg. On August 19, 1990, he was buried at the Bogoslovskoe Cemetery. Finding his grave is not difficult; hundreds of fans of the legendary lead singer of the immortal band "KINO" make pilgrimages there daily.

A collision between a dark blue “Moskvich-2141” car and a white “Ikarus-250” bus occurred at 11:28 AM on August 15, 1990, at the 35th kilometer of the Sloka — Taley highway. Next to the car, a young dark-haired man lay, barely extracted from the cabin by the doctors of the ambulance that had arrived a little earlier. Without a doubt, he died instantly.
