Situated in Palo Alto, California, The Foster Museum is a single-artist, non-profit joint that opened its doors in 2016. Before becoming an art gallery, it was a storage center for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital until 2014. The museum sits on 14,000 square feet, even managing to earn a LEED Silver certification from the USGBC. The gallery showcases and shares the journey of Tony Foster's artistic escapades. These include 'The Foster Museum Orientation', 'Exploring Beauty: Watercolor Diaries from the Wild', 'Sacred Places: Watercolor Diaries from the American Southwest', and 'The Retrospective Exhibition: The Art of Tony Foster'. The museum also houses and accumulates the archives of Tony Foster's watercolor wilderness Journeys. Dedicated to artist-explorer Tony Foster (1946-), the museum displays the permanent collection of the Foster Art & Wilderness Foundation.
