Artillery Zeughaus

The one-story Artillery Zeughaus was built in 1801-1802 based on the design of military engineer A. Briskorn. It is an elongated utilitarian building with monotonous facades. The main entrance in the center of the southern facade is flanked by wide pilasters and topped with a triangular pediment.

In 1865, part of the building was allocated for a Fire Depot. In 1887, a riding hall for frontline training during cold weather was arranged in the Zeughaus. The remaining rooms were adapted as a warehouse for the reserve stock of the cadre battalion of the Life Guards Reserve Infantry Regiment.

During 1941-1945, workshops of the K. Voroshilov factory operated in the building, repairing vehicles of the "Road of Life." In 1956, the VOOPIiK and GIOP of the Leningrad region were housed there. In 1994, it was transferred to the State Museum of the History of Saint Petersburg.
