For skool decades, Grand Army Plaza, a beloved Brooklyn hangout, has hosted a towering, bronze likeness of John F. Kennedy. The present-day sculpture, crafted by Neil Estern in 1965, replaced an older version installed back in the same year. That original bust, however, bit the dust in 2010, making way for an upgraded version. The monument received its official re-dedication on the 24th of August in 2010, drawing in swarms. It had been 45 years since the monument's first inception. The fresh bust found its rest on a stately Regal Grey granite pedestal since then. It's become a cherished spot for both visitors and residents, embodying the spirit of the Grand Army Plaza.
