"Black Gates" — gates in the wall of Sylvia Park, built at the end of the 19th century.
The gates serve as the exit from Sylvia Park towards the Yegerskaya Sloboda. The structure was created during the construction of the Sylvia Park wall along Ekaterinverdersky Avenue (today Krasnoarmeysky Avenue) in the 1880s.
Originally, the gates featured an element — a wicket gate, closed with lattice leaves bearing the state emblem; they were decorated with lanterns. The double-headed eagle from the gate leaves was removed after the revolution. The lanterns also disappeared over time.
Subsequently, the wall collapsed in several places (including near the gates). Due to mistakes made during restoration, the gates now have a somewhat different construction.
