To finally consolidate the union of the Cubo- and Ego-Futurists, it was decided to publish a joint anthology. The artist of the "Union of Youth," Puni, hosted daily meetings for compiling the anthology and drafting the manifesto titled "Go to Hell."
The Puni couple, recently returned from Paris, took on the expenses of publishing the Futurists' almanac, and their attic on Gatchinskaya Street on the Petersburg side immediately turned into a real editorial headquarters, with the hostess of the house—the charming, lively, and witty Ksana, as everyone called the artist Ksenia Boguslavskaya, Puni’s wife—becoming its center.
And it seemed everyone was a little bit in love with her: they gladly visited, eagerly rushed to fulfill her wishes and demands, and even yielded to her, as the publisher, in selecting the participants for the anthology. Thus, Livshits joked: "Severyanin sacrificed Sologub to Ksana, and Mayakovsky and I—Briusov."

The anthology was named "The Roaring Parnassus." It opened with a manifesto in which the participants declared: "We have discarded our accidental nicknames 'ego' and 'cubo' and united into a single company of Futurists." The anthology included works by Severyanin, Burliuk, Khlebnikov, Livshits, and other poets. Mayakovsky contributed two poems: "Here You Go!" and "They Understand Nothing," subtitled "Breaking Through with Fists." In January 1914, "The Roaring Parnassus" was published. However, it could not be put on sale. The Main Directorate for Press Affairs imposed a ban on the anthology. The reason was the drawings by Filonov, which were deemed pornographic. Just over a dozen copies, secretly taken out of the printing house, were distributed among friends.
