Dovlatov - School Number 206

It was in this educational institution that Dovlatov’s development as a writer took place. The school was very ordinary. Boys from nearby communal apartments attended it — the student body was challenging. Sergey was not considered a difficult child. According to his classmates’ recollections, he was a chubby and shy boy. But it was here that his first literary experiments began. The future writer sent his childhood poems to the magazine *Koster*. They say they were published.
