The Korean War Veterans Memorial, situated along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway in Jersey City, New Jersey, within Liberty State Park, serves as a tribute to the 126 locals who paid the ultimate price in the Korean War. The memorial was refurbished in 2015 after a 2014 beating. The centerpiece of the memorial is a sculpture crafted from Indian granite, depicting two soldiers, one supporting the other due to injury. The surrounding semi-circular wall lists the names of the fallen in dry wit and somber reality – 18 in total. Three towers stand at the edge, each accompanied by a flagpole displaying the Stars and Stripes. The Stevens Institute of Technology completed the memorial in 2015 after the improvements made in 2014. Today, the memorial remains a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the county's veterans in the Korean War.
