The White Mosque is one of the most significant structures added to the modern collection of architectural heritage of Tatarstan, built in 2012.
The "White Mosque" complex of the Academy consists of the mosque building itself, the mufti’s residence, and the madrasa, surrounding the prayer square. The collective image of the "White Mosque" complex is an example of the combination of the best works of world Islamic architecture. The walls are decorated with traditional decorative elements of Turkic and Arab cultures. The Holy Quran is read in the White Mosque, interrupted only for prayer times, with an online broadcast. It houses a hair of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, gifted by the Supreme Mufti of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Talgat Hazrat Tajuddin, and a model of the White Mosque made of silver and gold, which was presented by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The "White Mosque" also holds great significance for the Republic of Tatarstan as an original architectural structure. It is a complex of buildings surrounding the prayer square, in the center of which is a fountain. The buildings are clad in white marble. The eastern columns, towering minarets, and dome with exquisite stained glass inspire photographers, artists, and poets to create their masterpieces. The best works of world Islamic architecture served as the model for the construction of the "White Mosque." Inside the mosque is kept the main treasure of the Muslims of Tatarstan – a hair of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). The relic was gifted in 2015 by the chairman of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Talgat Tajuddin, at a solemn ceremony dedicated to the date of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria. At that time, Talgat Hazrat, addressing his fellow believers, said: "If the body of our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) is buried in Medina, then a hair from his beard will be kept here." The White Mosque is not only an architectural object but also an active mosque where practical classes for Academy students are held, five daily prayers, Friday and holiday prayers, and various religious rites: nikah (marriage), naming ceremonies, aqiqah, and others.
In plan, the mosque is a quadrangle, where the main architectural objects are arranged around the perimeter of a square or rectangular space. The building attracts attention with two minarets 46.5 meters high and three domes. The internal height of the central dome is 17 meters, and its diameter is 10 meters. Around its perimeter are beautiful stained-glass windows. The height of the central dome is 17 meters. The inner courtyard — the prayer square — covers 1500 sq. m, paved with granite and framed by an arcade of 88 columns. In its center is an artificial pond, in the surface of which the snow-white building is reflected. An interesting fact! The main finishing material of the mosque is Italian white marble. About 1200 tons of it were used in the construction of the building. The architectural complex includes: the mosque with prayer halls; madrasa; clergy residence. All entrances are decorated with columns topped with crescents. At night, the building is illuminated with white light, giving it an amazing fairy-tale appearance. The main dome of the White Mosque is located above the large prayer hall, which covers an area of 180 square meters.

Its snow-white walls are decorated with Quranic inscriptions and traditional Muslim ornaments — tulips, arabesques. Inside the mosque, the prayer hall is two-tiered. Men pray on the first level, and women pray on the second, where balconies with carved wooden parapets are located.

The rooms have soft, diffused lighting. It is provided not only by the stained-glass windows but also by a large ceiling chandelier with a diameter of 25 meters.
