Perched at 97.20 meters, the Asinelli Tower of Bologna boasts a devilish 2.23-meter lean towards the west. The chilling question: who built this monstrous structure remains, like a stubborn donkey, refusing to budge. Two yarns spin tales of the creators: one whispers of two donkeys, named after the Asinelli family, uncovering a chest of gold. The other weaves a tale of Kim Asinelli and his kin, moving to Bologna with caravan donkeys, constructing the tower of stone on the spot. To this day, the donkeys continue to weave themselves into the tale, whether in its creation or not.
